Position: Senior Associate
Hailing from a farm in country New South Wales, David graduated from the Australian National University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics.
After a number of years practicing in the Central West of New South Wales, David moved to Nowra where he tried (and failed) to master the art of surfing whilst balancing a broad conveyancing, commercial law, family law and criminal law practice. Returning to Canberra in 2020, David spent six years working at a boutique firm where an initial focus on commercial law, including overseeing several large mergers and acquisitions, gave way to an overriding interest in estate planning and estate administration, which he has pursued in his time at Tetlow Legal.
David’s diverse practice history allows him to identify and advise upon the overlapping legal considerations present for many clients and estates, particularly those with blended families, complex assets or commercial interests. He prides himself on then bringing a positive energy and pragmatic approach to achieving his clients’ goals in a timely, tailored and readily understood manner.
Before a boisterous toddler required a redirection of his energies, David sat on the Property Law Committee of the ACT Law Society and acted as the director of the Ice Hockey ACT Player Disciplinary Tribunal. David utilises his scant free time to remain an avid cyclist, runner and gridiron afficionado.
